The hardest part of starting a weight loss plan is walking through the door of the room where the slimming class meets. I joined Slimlines in may 2006. I weighed almost 11 stones, too much for a 5ft 2inch frame. The first three weeks I followed the one day meal plans until I could recognise the size of portions. I used my calorie scales quite a lot

The secret of steady weight loss is in the planning. I have the Slimlines weekly planner on my fridge door. I worked out menus for each day in the week and shopped for just the food I needed. I wanted lose a stone but lost an extra 2 lbs to offset Christmas. Lyn gives the class a lot of encouragement and the other ladies are very helpful sharing ideas and recipes with everyone. I have gone down a dress size so I should look much better when my husband and I celebrate our golden wedding anniversary on January 2007
